Data wrangling & DIT

In case your recording relies on the use of digital media, the data will have to be processed, clearly sorted out and prepared for the process of cutting - moreover, you will have to regularly turn in transcoded dailies.

We have experts capable of processing your data using our professional equipment.

This job covers:

• Safe backups
  We will daily back up your data using a very fast RAID field + external disks so that the data can be kept safe also outside the set in case a theft is attempted or a natural disaster strikes. With the relevant project accomplished (or at any agreed intervals), we will deliver the completed job on an external disk.

• Data sorting
  We will check all your files, give them names (thus saving several hours of work at post-production) and sort them out so that the recorded material will be arranged for very easy reference.

• Dailies
  We will trans-code your files to optimize their resolution so that the dailies, when demanded, can be delivered in small data volumes (e.g. a shot from ARRI can be reduced from 2500 MB to the pleasant volume of 35 MB).

• On-set stream
  Ask us and we will provide iPads whereon the recorded and processed material can be streamed using an air communication link. Practically about 10 minutes after a shot is inserted, it will appear in the iPad menu. The producer himself or herself (agency, client) may apply the iPad to replay any time any shot from any camera, without having to go somewhere and record what is needed.

  we can add LTC to footages shooted with Canon EOS.

The jobs described above will be carried out using mobile professional equipment suitable to be readily moved so that the running task will not have to be interrupted.
